Frequently Asked Questions

Since IKI is by appointment only, how do we make an appointment?

You may make an appointment in several ways:

How does the wait list work?

When a practitioner’s schedule is full, we will add patients to the wait list and ask you for your general availability. As the practitioner’s schedule opens up, the receptionist will email or text patients on the wait list whose availability matches that opening. The receptionist will schedule on a first-serve basis as patients respond to the notification. Please note that, based on the practitioner’s treatment plan, the receptionist will prioritize those in pain.

Does IKI accept insurance?

We focus fully on your care and results, so we do not bill insurance or submit prior authorizations on your behalf.

Insurance companies, including Medicare-based plans, require prior authorizations to be submitted by a physician or a provider recognized within their system. Our providers are not recognized within their system.

If your plan requires authorization or documentation, your primary care provider or specialist will need to handle that portion.

We email a detailed receipt after each visit, which you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement based on your specific plan.

Our services are eligible for Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs). Always check your plan for coverage specifics, but our team will provide the necessary documentation to support your claim and make the process as seamless as possible. Please note that you may also require a medical letter of necessity from your primary physician.

How does billing work if you’re out-of-network?

Payment is collected at the time of your appointment. After your visit, you’ll receive an itemized superbill containing the necessary medical codes for your insurance. This allows you to request possible reimbursement directly from your insurer. The process is straightforward and gives you the flexibility to use your benefits while keeping your care simple and personalized.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with HSA and FSA cards. You may securely store a card in your patient portal for seamless checkouts. Our goal is to make billing and scheduling effortless so you can focus on your care, not the paperwork.
